Welcome to our website! Students Aligned for a Faithful Erskine (SAFE) is run by students and alumni of Erskine College committed to Erskine’s mission and concerned about Erskine’s direction as an institution. We love Erskine and support its mission of equipping “students to flourish by providing a excellent liberal arts education in a Christ-centered environment where learning and biblical truth are integrated to develop the whole person.” However, we are concerned that the College – in its Administration, Board, and Faculty – is not being faithful to its mission. Our experience has been that Erskine’s mission is too often evaded and suppressed at many levels.

We desire to see an Erskine that is faithful to Christ, faithful to Scripture, and faithful to its mission as the College of the ARP Church. Too often concerns about Erskine’s unfaithfulness lay trapped within the Erskine bubble. Accordingly, we will be presenting information from Erskine students and alumni from a variety of denominational backgrounds, majors, and vocations to introduce their concerns about Erskine and their hopes for reform to a broader audience. Our hope is that in so doing we will create space and impetus for further discussion about Erskine and – most importantly – for further action toward the reform of Erskine. In launching this site, our prayer is that God will use our efforts in some small way to move Erskine toward faithfulness to its mission, that His Kingdom and His Gospel would be furthered.
